- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 6 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until bubbly.
- Gradually whisk in the milk, continuing to stir until the sauce thickens.
- Add the cheddar and Parmesan cheeses, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.
- Mix the cooked macaroni and crumbled turkey bacon into the cheese sauce.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
