- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and spices.
- Add the milk mixture, melted butter, and eggs to the dry ingredients.
- Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
- Let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough, spread with melted butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and spices.
- Roll tightly, slice, and place in a baking pan.
- Let the rolls rise again for 30 minutes.
