  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to create a roux.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk and heat until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in 3 cups of cheese until melted.
  6. Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni and chicken.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and top with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
