  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  6. Finally, add the flour and mix until just combined.
  7. In a separate bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon for the swirl.
  8. Pour half of the banana bread batter into a greased loaf pan.
  9. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter.
  10. Add the remaining batter on top, followed by the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  11. Swirl gently with a knife.
  12. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  13. Allow to cool before slicing.
