This Cinnamon-Swirled Banana Bread is a delightful treat that combines the comforting flavors of ripe bananas and cinnamon.

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter, then add baking soda and salt.
  4. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Lastly, stir in the flour until just incorporated.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine cinnamon and some of the batter to create a swirl mixture.
  7. Pour half of the plain batter into the greased loaf pan, then top with the cinnamon mixture.
  8. Spoon the remaining batter over the top and use a knife to swirl.
  9. Bake for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the batter.
  • Make sure to use very ripe bananas for the best sweetness.
