Creamy Bacon and Mushroom Pasta

A comforting and creamy pasta dish loaded with turkey bacon and mushrooms.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop.
  3. In the same skillet, add the mushrooms and garlic; sauté until mushrooms are tender.
  4. Add the heavy cream and parmesan cheese to the skillet; mix well and let it simmer.
  5. Combine cooked pasta and bacon with the sauce; toss to coat.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in the microwave or on the stove with a splash of cream.
