Ham and Potato Au Gratin

A delicious combination of ham, potatoes, and rich cheese sauce.

  • 4 cups sliced potatoes
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 4 strips turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced potatoes, chicken ham, and turkey bacon.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the heavy cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Layer half of the potato mixture in a greased baking dish.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle with half of the cheese.
  6. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
  7. Dot the top with butter.
  8. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider using smoked cheese.
  • Let it cool before serving to allow the cheese to set.
