Light and Healthy Broccoli Pasta

A delicious and nutritious pasta dish featuring broccoli and turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces whole wheat pasta
  • 4 strips turkey bacon
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  3. Add olive oil and garlic to the skillet, sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli florets and cook until tender.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta with broccoli, bacon, Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add lemon zest.
  • Can substitute turkey bacon with regular bacon.
