Mississippi Pot Roast

A delicious twist on the classic Mississippi pot roast using turkey bacon.

  • 3 pounds chuck roast
  • 6 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup pepperoncini peppers
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then chop it into pieces.
  3. In a baking dish, place the chuck roast. Sprinkle the ranch and au jus mixes over the roast.
  4. Add the chopped turkey bacon and pepperoncini peppers on top.
  5. Pour the beef broth around the roast.
  6. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 3-4 hours, until the meat is tender.

Notes

  • Serve with mashed potatoes or on a sandwich.
  • Adjust the amount of pepperoncini based on your spice preference.
