Neapolitan Swirl Bread

A delightful treat that combines chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry flavors in one beautiful loaf.

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup strawberry puree

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth.
  3. Divide the dough into three equal parts. Mix cocoa powder with one part, vanilla extract with another, and strawberry puree with the last.
  4. Roll each dough into a rectangle, layer them, and roll them into a loaf.
  5. Place in a greased loaf pan, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • Allow the bread to cool completely before slicing.
