Pan-Fried Salmon with Creamy Lemon Orzo

A delicious meal that combines the richness of pan-fried salmon with the zestiness of creamy lemon orzo.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 cups orzo pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the orzo according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet.
  3. Cook salmon for 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  4. Remove salmon and set aside. In the same skillet, add garlic, sauté briefly, then stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, and zest.
  5. Add the cooked orzo to the sauce, stirring to combine. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Serve salmon over a bed of creamy lemon orzo, garnished with parsley.

Notes

  • You can substitute salmon with another fish if desired.
  • For extra zest, add more lemon juice to the orzo.
