Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 6 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into circles to fit your muffin tin.
  3. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together cornstarch and egg yolks. Slowly add the warm milk mixture to the yolks while whisking continuously.
  5. Return to the saucepan and cook until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and cinnamon.
  6. Pour the custard into the pastry shells and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are golden.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use chilled pastry dough.
  • You can sprinkle powdered sugar before serving for added sweetness.
