  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup coarse sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  5. Roll dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Create an indentation in the center of each ball using your thumb.
  7. Fill each indentation with caramel sauce.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Once out of the oven, sprinkle coarse sea salt on top of the warm cookies.
  10. Let cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can add a teaspoon of espresso powder to the dough.
