Shrimp Carbonara

A delicious twist on the classic carbonara, featuring shrimp, turkey bacon, and chicken ham.

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Add shrimp and cook until pink.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and Parmesan cheese.
  4. Drain pasta, reserving some pasta water. Combine pasta with the shrimp and bacon in the skillet.
  5. Remove from heat and quickly mix in the egg and cheese mixture, adding pasta water as needed to create a creamy sauce.
  6. Season with garlic, salt, and pepper. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a splash of white wine while cooking the shrimp.
  • Feel free to substitute regular bacon or pancetta if desired.
