- 1 cup red beans
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 1 cup chicken ham, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 cups cooked rice
- Rinse and soak the red beans overnight.
- In a slow cooker, combine the soaked beans, turkey bacon, chicken ham, onion, garlic, and bell pepper.
- Add chicken broth, thyme, paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until beans are tender.
- Serve over cooked rice.
