Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake

A delightful twist on traditional sushi, this spicy salmon sushi bake combines rich flavors and easy preparation, making it a perfect family meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 pound fresh salmon, skin removed
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into strips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. While the rice is cooking, cut the salmon into small pieces and mix it with mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl.
  4. Once the rice is done, spread it evenly in a greased baking dish.
  5. Layer the salmon mixture over the rice.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through.
  7. Remove from the oven and top with sliced avocado and chopped green onions.
  8. Serve with nori strips on the side for added texture.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add sesame seeds on top before baking.
  • Adjust the spiciness by adding more or less sriracha to the salmon mixture.
