Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a pie dish.
  4. Pour the strawberry mixture into the crust.
  5. Cover with another layer of pie crust, seal the edges, and cut slits for steam to escape.
  6. Brush the top with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let it cool before icing.
  9. For the icing, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over the pie when cooled.
