- 1 pound ground turkey
- 4 strips turkey bacon
- 1 cup chicken ham, diced
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cups chicken broth
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until translucent.
- Add turkey bacon and ground turkey, cooking until browned.
- Stir in chicken ham, beans, crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, and all spices. Bring to a simmer.
- Let the chili simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve warm.
Notes
- For added heat, include more cayenne pepper.
- Serve with cornbread or over rice for a complete meal.
