  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  4. Add the broken lasagna noodles and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the ricotta cheese.
  6. Serve hot, topped with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
